Hello,

I found this lovely bowl with flowers, coated with a gold lining on the outside.
Was wondering if anyone could help me out on possible maker and it's age!

Looks the sort of moulded glass made by Walther, Germany. As for age, I'd guess mid 20th Century +/- 10yrs.

It's what's called goofus glass and is from the US. It is no newer than 1930s

Aah...i was going to say Carnival glass...and then Christine gives us the link to Goofus glass-and its otherwise known as "carnival glass"...i'm so proud to have got one right

Only sort of because what is currently called carnival glass is the irridised pressed stuff. I'm not entirely sure how accurate that article is in that respect

It is Goofus Glass, which was cold painted on after the piece wa made. be care not to put it in water.
