Iridescent vase with Mayan design
Hi!
I am trying to ID a vase I just got. It's about 10" high; pretty light for its size. The glaze is this green & gold iridescent color, reminds me of Weller Sicard glaze. The design is very three-dimensional. It has a piece of tape on the bottom that says "1925" - might have been made in 1925, but I am not sure. The glaze is chipped in a couple of places and it seems to be a pretty thin layer on top of the body of the vase.
The shape is reminiscent of Art Deco.
Any ideas are much appreciated!

Re: Iridescent vase with Mayan design
The design shows an Inca priest in ceremonial dress. I suspect the vase is a pottery copy of a traditional metal (eg. bronze) vase, made for tourists.
