Micki Schloessingk was one of that elite generation of students and lecturers emerging out of the Harrow Ceramics course of the early 70's that specialised in Salt Glaze. Walter Keeler,Mike Casson,Jane Hamlyn.Richard Dewar,Sarah Walton and several others.
          She started her studio in the Gower penisnula in South Wales in 1987. More infomation here.

Yes.
This is from the big bowl. The signature is uncannily similar to that of Mary Rich's before she started signing her full name.

I believe she still uses her "M" mark? though your right about her signing larger pieces.

The main difference is that Micki's M is larger and a more rounded/curved shape.

Hi all - I'm new here but already getting addicted! I recently bought a job lot of pots and couldn't identify one: the shape is fairly primitive but the glazework is really nice; as it has stamps it looks like a studio product rather than a hobby piece; if the pics don't come out properly, there is a stamped 'm' which looks like the top half of a heart; a double curve with the 'legs' curving so that they would make a heart if continued. The other mark is a circle in a circle with possibly a lazy 's' or it could be a flaw. The base is unmarked except for three paler stilt spots. This is also my first time with the image uploader; I can't see any pics, but I'll hope they made it.

Definitely Micki. She is one of the very few female potters who do wood fired salt glazed work. Its studio pottery where its the glazing effects from the firings that are prized.

Definitely a keeper; she’s been top of my wish list for a while. Very happy to see she’s now selling online via her website. That at least is one consolation of Covid19; the number of potters who are selling direct when before they’d rely on selling via fairs and galleries. Galleries need to pull their socks up; far too many haven’t updated their websites to online purchases, and if they do put up a photo of exhibition items, and an ‘enquire about availability’ you’re lucky to see a price. Nothing I hate more than enquiring blind, and finding it’s out of my price range or already sold

Clay College Stoke and The Leach Pottery both have good online stores and rolling exhibitions of both new and established potters. Plus Sladers Yard, and Thrown which seems to be a potters’ cooperative

This dots stamp (and the one Lizzy posted above) was used by apprentices such as Fleen Doran at Micki's pottery to raise funds for Clay College's Adopt A Potter apprentice scheme
