My only bit, a miniature jug 3 in high.

Does anyone recognise the style and finish?

A nice lidded serving pot /  bowl that I picked up at our local car boot - my better half thinks it may be Cornish as it reminds her of Charmouth pottery

It seems to good to be a hobby potter - any pointers would be appreciated

On occasions I have walked by his pottery and this is nothing like his work stylistically.

Do you have any photos of his work? There's nothing online except a couple with this same mark and decoration on eBay which have been attributed to him. Presumably identified using the BSPM book

I don't but "I have walked by his pottery" gives a clue. If my memory serves me correctly it's mainly earthenware in not too subtle colours.

A blue piece at last!

I have three handled sauce / soup bowls with, I'm pretty certain, Robert Tinnyunt stamp on each. I thought he decorates with brushwork and I just don't see plain functional wear that he has made. Does someone know if these are Lowerdown days before he developed his own decorative style? They look good as new to me, maybe more recent?

Ha ha, this was sold to me as a bowl and it took about 10 minutes after I bought it to realise that of course it's a lid / cover.

Still can't get the monogram deciphered but the decoration may be recognisable to someone?

Mark looks familiar but not coming to mind.

I’m not seeing a mark, but it’s a design used by Robert Tinnyunt

Sorry it fell off, here it is.

Pretty certain it is, though the mark is sideways. He did use wheat-ear motifs.

Jam pot, with rather bold throwing rings.

He was Burmese. From a long list of studio potters of foreign extraction who practiced in Britain.

I'm interested to know which pottery this Robert Tinnyunt condiments pot was made at, I know it's not got the Lowerdown mark but could this be possibly made at Lowerdown going by the design and glaze, or his own studio in Devon or another pottery.

Almost certainly made in Kingsteignton, Devon. The Lowerdown pots would carry the Lowerdown Pottery stamp, and most likely he'd have been making standard ware there so it wouldn't have his personal stamp

I believe it's an early piece by Robert Tinnyunt when he was at Westward Pottery at Kingsteignton.

I’ve not seen t his mark before. Used for a short time between working with David Leach and setting up at the Exeter Rd Kingsteignton Pottery with his TR mark?

Unfortunately it's not in the book. Seems it was the early mark for the pottery but then he dropped it and simply used his own TR monogram
