R F de Boer (Netherlands)
I apologize in advance for the lack of images but I haven't bought the item yet. I found a small hand formed and hand painted candlestick with a round sticker on it that says, I think in Dutch,
de Boer's
Workuwer (I'm not sure if I remember the spelling correctly)
Sinds 1670
Ring any bells? There is another line of text before "Sinds 1670" on the sticker, but I don't remember what it says.

Hmmm, it's not a rainbow glaze like the ones shown on this page...perhaps I'll just buy it today at lunch and post pictures...it's only $2 anyway.

Re: R F de Boer (Netherlands)
Actually it was only $1. The full tag says,
DE BOER'S
WORKUMER
AARDWERK
SINDS 1670
-------------
NOBA
If I was to guess, speaking absolutely no Dutch myself, it translates to "Handmade Artwork Since 1670". How close am I? I have no idea about "Noba". Red Clay...looks like terracotta. I'll try and post images tonight, if my wife does not go in to labour. :con3:
