Shallow flower bowl? blue glaze, IH stamp - possibly Ian Hinchcliffe
7.5 inches wide. Shallow rose bowl I think. I'm having trouble finding the stamp, poss an IH, does anyone know this please? There is also what looks like a deliberate metallic dot on the base. I don't know if it's anything to do with the ID or some code to do with the processing of the pot ...or nothing at all

Naomi I belive this is the same potter as your blue jug (the potter I can't remember! ).
Think he was in BSPM.

I think you're right, potty. The base looks very similar too.

Stardust, I removed the photo of the other pot mark. If this was a factory piece then the dot may be a decorator's mark, but as mine doesn't have it I think it's just a speck of glaze. In your other photo it's just a speck of iron or magnesium impurity in the glaze or clay.

Can't get to my BSPM boot atm, but did Ian Paul Rylatt have any other marks?

I believe I've seen 3 marks for him. had a feeling this was not his, but they do remind me of him certainly.
Had a quick look in the book and I can't find it
If stardust does not mind, would probably be well worth you posting this mark on Facebook, as I suspect someone will know it.

Possibly by Ian Hinchcliffe. The mark in the BSPM book isn't quite right

Thanks, interesting.
All 3 items are patently by the same potter, and quite distinctive.
