the decoration is not typically Spanish imo and the shape is different to a Spanish porron

Could be Spanish or from several other South European countries. It's called a botijo in Spanish or a cantir in Catalan. There's a museum of cantirs in Argentona, north of Barcelona. The curator there was amazingly friendly and helpful when I emailed photos to him of one that I have. See:http://www.museucantir.org/inici_cas.htm

Cheers Found a similar one with a stamp for Antonio Fernandez. From Rambla, Iberia. Late 19thC with barbotine slip decoration
