Re: Kad yad Israel
The glaze looks like Fosters Pottery, Cornwall, although they usually stamp the full name on the base, rather than just a number.

Re: Kad yad Israel
There's a jug on ebay (completed listing) that's simply listed as Brown Devon Jug, which has an indistinct backstamp which I think says Dartmouth.
I think it's from that sort of area, though - Devon - Cornwall.

Re: Kad yad Israel
There were lots of Devon potteries making brown glazed pottery - Devonmoor, New Devon, Devonway, Dartmouth, etc.
Hopefully someone will recognise this design.

Tiki pottery, but I don’t know the maker. Very popular style in the 70s; I think there was even a chain of restaurants back then

Thanks Naomi.
The glaze is very much like Kernewek or Fosters but Google hasn't bought anything up for me that looks similar down that road.
And the tiki stuff all looks a bit more aggressive and deliberately figurative than the faces on this one. Plus most of it is marked properly where this isn't.
Back to the hunt.

Re: Kad yad Israel
Put this in Ebay search "TI-TOKI" and you'll find something with a similar glaze.

Just found this Fosters vase on eBay.

Could they be related?

Re: Kad yad Israel
No, I don’t think so. That Fosters design was used on various sizes and shapes of pots but there weren’t other versions of it.

I think you're right. All my googling has got me nowhere. I did find some German mid century stuff that had a very similar glaze but nothing with a similar pattern. Maybe it's just a handmade one-off. That would explain its wonkiness.
