ID needed for large whitefriars style textured vase..
Hi
I would appreciate any ideas on this one as I'm completely stuck! I have posted it on GMB but got no replies there I'm afraid.
It's a large vase which is textured and ribbed and shaped in a wavy form. It is cased and heavy. The colour is difficult to describe - but amber going into a pale gold would be my best shot.
The shape is wavy tapering to the top. It is 12 inches tall and weighs 1.8 kg. Slight birdbath (though not deep) to the base with a polished concave pontil. Oberglas made similar pieces but I've not identified it as them, Ingrid were another possibility but no luck there..I was convinced I'd come across it because it's so distinctive, but no luck so far. Any ideas at all or thoughts would be most welcome

I'm hoping it's not the dreaded TKMaxx (although actually some of their glass is quite nice!)/Chinese. I think it's more likely to be older and produced when bark/tectured vases were 'in' . Japanese might be a possibility..
