Military Paintings Signed BRANDON? GALLERY 79 BEACONSFIELD Please help ID
I have a pair of military paintings which have a gallery label to the back for Gallery 79 in Beaconsfield and are signed - unfortunately although they look to be by the same artist the signatures are completely different? The first one looks like something like Brandon and the other is just a squiggle! If anyone can please help id the artist?

You can tell a certain amount by the quality of the framing. They look as though they are glazed, which is unusual for an oil painting. Normally associated with a print or watercolour. The surround looks fairly utilitarian and not expensive. The subject is a fairly generic one to appeal to a wide audience. The actual subject looks very quickly done. You can tell a good deal about the talent of a painter by their handling of human features, as it is a difficult thing to get right. In this one the features are almost non-existent.

It looks like a combination of stencil for the figures and brown wash for the infill.

The uniform is that of the Old Guard with Imperial eagle.
