Klauw Peacock Pattern, Delft ware plate
Hi, hope someone can help. This wall plaque has been given to me by a friend. She says it belonged to her father and she thinks it was around when she was a young girl (early 1960's). There's a good mark on the base which I don't recognise as being British. There is also quite a large chip on the rim that shows the material as being pale sandy colour (beige?). I've added an image of this.
It's quite large - measures 31 cm in diameter an is 5.5 cm deep and weighs approx 1.2 kg's.
The glaze has a blueish tinge. Any help would be much appreciated

It looks like this one, but I can't explain the mark: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/oud-delft-delft-plate-classic-peacock-1786734745

Agreed, Dutch Delft. A dinner plate rather than a plaque.
The decoration looks like a mishmash of Chinese motifs; copying the Chinese blue & white style.
Looks to be 19thC, so earlier than the example on Worthpoint

Brilliant - can you check out 18th Century Dutch Delft De Klauw Peacock Pattern - I think we might have found the mark!

Re: Klauw Peacock Pattern, Delft ware plate
Looks like some are attributed to the 18thC and some early 20thC so the pattern was in production for a long time
