Nope, the notation form number, separator (slash), size (cm) was very common in the 1950s, but there are other clues, position, font face (sans serif) and the missing of any other marks . The missing of any marks of origin is rather misleading. though. These plates #1916 are usually marked GERMANY and 1919/26 underneath.

Jasba form series of bowls and plates with numbers in the 1800 range
was possibly issued in the 1930s, bowl GERMANY 1901/31 1951,
your plate issued about 1955, with decor Jaspatina, 1955/56, with the decor
on your plate late 1950s i think. Similiar decor by Bay.

Candleholder 1913/15

Hi everyone, have a very nice vase here, the base is simply moulded with the circular "West Germany" and a number 109/29

I have searched hundreds of images and looked in a couple of books, the only similar work seems to be Bay Keramik?? would anyone have any other suggestions? it reminds me of something anyway, the colour patches are nice and bright and it is gilded around the rim of both the base and top.

The base is here, it is actually a bit easier to read than the photo shows but there is certainly some wear

Great guys, thanks a lot, Regarding identifying it I saw after Big Ed first suggested the name that some of the Jasba pieces have this same style pattern, is there any name for it?
@vhb64 Have you seen this before? Or are there definite hallmarks in the glaze or pattern that identify it so strongly?

I am really just trying to learn more about the German pieces becuase their actual written marks are so often similar and it all seems to be about the style and glaze that identifies them, but to my untrained eye I could not spot them just from a glazing pattern, many of them follow a theme it seems, like the lava glazes etc.

Thanks again, so is it 1960s 70s? you mention cortina glaze? does this one havea name? the colour patches are like exaggerated brushstrokes, or 'dragged' downwards. I will be keeping this one, think its cool.

Mo of Miss pearls stuff this thing is pretty its say 400  but it hard to see

2nd weekend find.

9 inch x 6 inch, unknown producer, difficult to see model on base, looks like - 100 - 20

I have seen other similar patterned vases but with no named manufacturer.

The base image is not clear, the light reflection on the picture distorts the view a little.
