Brin, I don't mean to nag but please would you try to rotate your pics the right way up before you upload them. They'll look nicer and save my neck

Re: Republic of San Marino (Italy)
You should get the option (rotate clockwise / anti-clockwise) when you first download from your camera to your computer.

I find Picasa a really good photo manager, and it's free to download.

Pip - I love you 'Bardot' bottle... it's fabulous. I have a San Marino-type piece with an impressed signature/factory mark. Will post a pic when I get five

San Marino wall plate, by Marmaca. A little different to the usual San Marino fat Lava / red glaze pieces...

Plate with floral decoration - San Marino
The plate is marked but I've failed to id it so far. My first thought was Italian but then I would expect Italy to be written at the back. It looks like good quality piece with colours merging nicely. How would that method of decoration be called? Any idea about the origin?

Most likely pottery by Roberto Ducci and Libero Cellarosi. I have just found almost identical mark on Deutsh ebay, just type in: L.Cellarosi Keramik Vase Vintage Italy Italien Libero handbemalt for reference.
Thanks again Ed :)
