Cant make up my mind even if it is English or Italilan. Surely it must be circa 1960? Any ideas? Susan

Susan, we need to see a photo of the base please.
I agree with Dan, it's 1950s production, I think either Italian or West German - doesn't look English to me at all.
Anyway, the base photo might help narrow it down.
