I have this 50s/60s money box complete with stopper. The stopper is
marked RM Moss Ltd 1095, but I have the feeling from rooting about that
that's just the stopper, not the money box. Has anyone any idea who
might have made the box please?

Hi Christine, undoubtedly the RM Moss Ltd will refer to the stopper only which, incidentally looks original to me. I don't recognise your Pony, sorry, however you'll most likely find that the company who made it used stoppers exclusively from this Moss company so if you can find out who they supplied to it might lead you to the manufacturer.

I did find a Sadler pig with a Moss stopper, but everything else so far has been unmarked.

Beswick made a sries of comical horse money boxes, some with riders but yours looks different,it has the thelwell look about it though?

Don't think it's Beswick. Ellgreave has been suggested. Probably just cashing in on the Thelwell look

Thelwell did work with 2 other factories that I know of ,Royal Worcester and Weatherby (made at the Sylvac factory during the war years)
