Hello-- Any help this bowl is greatly appreciated. I think it is mid-century. It is terracotta and the marking read: 1075-31 or perhaps 4075-31. Pictures for your review.
Thanks in advance.

Please forgive me for not including dimensions...they are: 11.75 inches in diameter and almost 2.5 inches deep.

I'm enjoying reading others posts and seeing everyone's detective work. very impressive.

Hi there - welcome to the forum :-)

Your bowl is definitely 1950s production but I'm not sure which factory - I'm sure another member will be along with some suggestions.

W.-Germany Terracotta Bowl Empty thanks!

Post by oberbetter April 29th 2009, 9:50 pm

From another post, I saw that it may be Carstens...then some google research found this vase:
http://www.westgermany-ceramics-collectables.com/pr/subpage.php/customercode=graaff2/currentlanguage=en/pagecode=Subpage_collection

so, yes, I think mid-century Carstens. But, I am not finding much information about this factory online.

Thanks again for taking a look.
