hi all,
bought this wonderful pot at a carboot for a bargain 50p and wondered if anyone can help me ID. I think it's probably 1900-1915 ish British art pottery but i don't know if the mark underneath means anything - looks to be in pencil. I'm hoping it's Burmantofts as the turquoise colour looks ok, but i think they tended to glaze underneath too? is that correct? other suggestions anyone?

measures only about 6 inches high

That's rather nice, a bargain for 50p.

However, although I'm not an expert of Burmantofts, I'm pretty sure the shape isn't right for them. I would expect it to have mouldings or ridges or something given a plain glaze.

found this burmantofts similar shaped vase from a google search but it has their characteristic "sun" type pattern. don't know whether they did more plain things
