Jacques Kupfermann
Jacques Kupfermann was my late father - born in Vienna , Austria and came to the US in 1941. He studied at the New York Art School and then moved to Woodstock, NY which is where Iwas born. We then moved to the UK in the 1960's He died in December 1987. Would be very intersted to know which painting you purchased as I keep records where his pictures are.
We still have a few works of art for sale which is separate from our core family collection.
Best wishes

Sorry about the late reply.... Thank you so much Elias for providing your information (I am hoping that I have ID'd it correctly as being painted by your late father!).
Kind regards Guy

Hello Elias, I have one of your fathers paintings, purchased via e bay! It was one of 6 purporting to come from a private commission, according to a label on the frame the seller was Eleanor de Botton. It was painted in 1983. It is now displayed in my home in Chesterfield and I love it! I hope the picture attachment works. Kind regards Andrew Sills

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Elias,
My 85 year old mother owns one of your father's oil paintings. She purchased it in 1968 from the now defunct Village Gallery/Gallimaufry in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, which was owned by Lore and Verne Stromberg (I'm doing this from my childhood memories, so their names may be slightly off). It is proudly displayed in her dining room, and destined for one of my homes in California after her death. I'll try to obtain a photograph, although that may be a challenge since I'm 3,000 miles away. Just wanted to make contact with you.

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Thats very interesting ... Look forward to see the painting if you can get hold of a photo. it would have been painted in Woodstock NY where we lived for about 8 years.
We just had a small show in London and put some of the larger canvasses on show and for sale - still have a few left if anyone is interested....

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Elias, my Mother sent a photo of your Dad's painting (not a great one, but perhaps enough for you to recognize it). I have had it scanned, but have no way to upload it to this site. If you're comfortable sharing your e-mail address, I'll send it to you "offline".

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Happy New Year to all those who are interested in Jacques' work! He and my parents were great friends when we all lived in New York and New Jersay. After my mother died I took Jacqes' paintings and prints to my house and I have some of his work from the 1950s and one I bought in about 1963 or 4 when Jacques lived in NYC and a couple from the 1970s when Jacques lived in England. I am glad to see he is getting the interest and respect I always thought he deserved.
If anyone is interested I should be able to take photos and post them to this site.

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Well Folks;
I followed the instructions and none of my pictures got posted.
Oh well.
In a week or so I will be allowed to post my email address and then if you want you can email me and I will send you a link to where all my photos of Jacques' work are.
Too bad this setup does not work.

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Loading photos does take a bit of practice, I'm afraid, but keep at it. Would love to see them.

It turns out that a photo storage site where I have posted the photos lets you see them. As I read the instructions it turns out that until I have been on the forum for a week or more I am not supposed to tell you the name of the site. I did find out, when I emailed Elias a link to the site that the photos are not password protected so after a week or so I think I won't be breaking any rules to give it to you.
In the meantime, you probably won't be breaking any rules if you send me your email; then I can email you the link directly.
Regards,
David Jackson

The set up does work David, that's how all the pictures here are posted. Please persevere, we prefer pictures to links and if you decide to, you may regret posting your email address.

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Well, thanks for the reply from an administrator, I would guess.
Based on your desires I will not post the link.
Based on your caution I will not post my email address either.
Now, as to the photos: I went to the up load area, browsed to find my images, clicked thumbnail, and then clicked upload.
I did this 14 times as I have 14 images I would like to post.
My understand, after reading the directions, is that if I upload thumbnail setting a larger picture will be there when thumbnail is clicked.
No images got uploaded.
Regards
David J.

Hi David - that doesn't work!
By all means send your images to Sue but if you want to have another go when your have browsed, opened and clicked "Host it" just cut and paste the code in the thumbnail box into the box your are writing in and it should work.
That's how I do it.
