Lustre Pot - Mike and Barbara Hawkins, Port Isaac Pottery Cornwall
Picked this up this morning at the car boot and have spent most of the afternoon searching. Having had pieces before, I immediately thought of Mary Rich also this pot does not have her monogram and is initialled and I can't make the lettering out to be able to go through my book. Looks like last letter might be an H but who knows Have a mooch on the internet but can't find anything similar. Any ideas please

Michael and Barbara Hawkins, Port Isaac Pottery (Cornwall)
Stoneware water jug with matte glazed swan decoration similar to Sir William Nicholson woodblock illustrations,
mhb? monogram seal mark. Thought would be straightforward to id but nothing found so far...

Re: Michael and Barbara Hawkins, Port Isaac Pottery (Cornwall)
Michael and Barbara Hawkins did pots a lot like this, never seen them use a sprigged seal though, but the monogram could be MHB, so it's possible I think.

Great, thanks, just looked online and yes they are almost identical apart from the mark as you say, and a handle in the shape of a swan's neck and head. Will email Port Isaac Pottery for confirmation.

Yes that's our swan jug!
Can't remember exactly when we would have made it but quite early on in our
career. Maybe 1980s?
It was a very popular design for a while.

Stoneware bowl with swan handles
Stoneware bowl with swan handles 11 in diameter. Unmarked, but could it be Port Isaac?
Came across this post, and there are similarities, but never seen anything quite like it.

There is a teaset on here, somewhere, with the same swan handles, etc, which is Port Isaac Pottery

Couldn't find any more on a search, but thanks, it sounds like a positive ID.
Swan Handle HB or BHB mark? - Michael & Barbara Hawkins, Port Isaac Pottery
Dear Forum,
Attached please find 3 pictures of a vase/vessel with swans head and neck as the handle.
Well crafted piece.
Height of body of vase approx 12cm
Diameter of top approx 8cm
Diameter of bottom approx 6cm
Weight approx 415g
Mark situated on body of vessel below where the handle joins the body. Oval shaped impressed plaque with what appears to be the letters HB or possibly BHB impressed into that plaque.
As always would appreciate any comments or insights as to it's maker, era etc.
Thanks again!
