Re: Troika Pottery
I've never really collected Troika but have had a passing interest in it since I met Carol Cashmore at a fair in 1996. I bought her book and a couple of cylinder vases from her and have bought (and sold) a few pieces over the years.
This is probably my nicest piece. The ceramic flowers came with it. I've seen other examples of this vase but never the flowers.
Also 3 cylinder vases (we will be re-tiling that bathroom later this year!).

Nice collection! The small bowl in the last pic I would guess is pretty rare.

Re: Troika Pottery
Almost didn't get this because of a small chip and bubbles in the blue glaze but very glad I went back for it.
Troika ashtray in charcoal-black clay with blue glazed bowl. Unsigned but tracked the handwriting down to that of Benny Sirota. They had a batch of black clay and made some pieces in limited numbers
11.6cm wide x 4.2cm high

Yes, it is. They didn't have much of it so pieces are quite rare. There was a larger bowl in the same clay and glaze at Woolley and Wallace in 2013 but it didn't sell. Troikafloyd has one in his photos on the previous page.

Re: Troika Pottery
Well done for going back!
These are quite rare as only a limited supply of the clay used in their production apparently.
Always good to get a Benny Sirota piece, I alsothink they are very striking with the cobalt blue centre.

Re: Troika Pottery
The postings on the Troika thread are pretty sparse lately. Is this an indication that it is not as popular as it used to be?

Re: Troika Pottery
The days when one could pick up bits of Troika on the boots, or in charity shops,
for nothing are long gone. Those television programs saw to that.
