Re: Upsala Ekeby (Sweden)
Dan there's another collection of dinner service pieces here, but your cup or design is not on there. The other link I was thinking of is for a lady in Sweden who only sells bla eld though so no help there.

Re: Upsala Ekeby (Sweden)
Marianne Westman's 'Picnick' design is now being reissued - I don't yet know what/if the differences between the original production and the reissues might be however.

Re: Upsala Ekeby (Sweden)
Hi,
I can confirm that it is Ingrid Atterberg and the vase is number 2176 (21 x 9 cm) in the Pepita-model and produced in 1954-1956.

Found in a cardboard box at an auction near Holmfirth. Unfortunately, it has a giant chunk taken out of it near the top, but in all honesty, it's not that noticeable.

One of the (very) few finds at the recent Lincoln fair. A beautifully vibrant wall plaque by Mari Simmulson for Upsala-Ekeby. Watch the birdy!

Hi,
Siporex was a company in Dalby, Sweden that produced light beton (foam beton, foam concrete, cellular concrete).

new finds
Managed to find a couple of nice pieces at recent fair. Both by Mari Simmulson. Odd how your tastes change, a few years ago these would have been too figurative for my taste, now I quite like them. Must be getting old!

Can anyone help with the Identity of the Potter of this Vase. On the base is says 'UE SWEDEN 1618/2065'. I think it may be from around 1920. Many thanks, Emma.

Re: Upsala Ekeby (Sweden)
This isn't really an area that I have much knowledge of but I think that you are right about the date - it was probably introduced in 1923 from the number.
At around that time I understand that Upsala Ekkeby appointed two designers, Anna-Lisa Thomson and Sven Erik Skawonius, with the later eventually becoming Art Director of the whole group.
I can't confirm if either designed your pot but it might be a starting point.
