Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
From the Jersey Pottery website:
Jersey Pottery was founded by brothers Charles and Edward Potter who saw an opportunity to manufacture and export “British” pottery following a law introduced during WWII which banned the production of decorative ware in the UK but did not apply to Jersey. Pottery production had ceased in Jersey in the 1880s when the clay from local quarries in St Lawrence was exported in large quantities to Cornwall. The first factory was established on the site of a former ship-building yard close to the sea in Gorey Village...
Colin Jones and Carol Garton managed the business through the heady days of tourism in the 1960s through to the 1990s
Colin's sons, Robert and Jonathan, along with other family members joined in the '90s
The factory is now based in Stamford, Lincolnshire, and the headquarters moved to St Helier in the 2010s
Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
We see a lot of Jersey Pottery on our travels - some I like more than others and often quite varied in style. We don't buy it however because of our limited storage space situation. As for information, annoyingly none of my books have anything about them and the only info I can find online I'm sure you've already checked out (link below).
Hopefully now you've put the question out here in the public domain someone will drop in who knows more. I'd be interested to know as well.

Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
i've never seen jersey pottery like this, but here it is. I'm guessing it's for a yacht club somewhere.
Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
probably commissioned by the Yacht club in their choice of glaze colour

Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
I've seen quite a few of these pieces on my travels and I think they are fab compared to the painted production. They made a sunflower wallplaque in this style and on a hessian backed board I believe, which is gorgeous (I didn't bid on it and regret it). I think this is early production, although have no info to back that up - sorry.

Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
I know nothing about this vase except it is Jersey Pottery and about 15 cm high.
Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
Bistoboy, I had a bowl similar to yours but with double bands of holes and shorter pedestal. I bought it in a box-lot of pots at auction about 10 years ago, and the person who had owned them seemed to buy souvenirs from his hols.; each piece had a label underneath, clearly to remind him/her where and when they were bought. Sadly, I can't remember what it said on the Jersey piece
Only joking It was 'Jersey 1973' (or '74).

Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
Jersey Pottery regularly crops up in the local charity shops - most of which goes unsold because the volunteers think it's Collectable, (like Rye Pottery), and overprice it. Another decade and we'll probably all be kicking ourselves that we didn't get it when it was cheap. Not really to my taste as I find most of the handpainted decoration 'washed out' and boring colours, compared to Rye, Aldermaston, etc.
I rescued this screen printed ceramic pot stand that was about to be thrown out.

Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
Couldn't measure it at the time, but it has to be at least 15". Not to my taste, though so I left it.

Re: Jersey Pottery (Channel Islands)
One of the pretty Jersey kitties, there are many colourways, and quite sought
after as they are so fragile, 6 in long.
They were copied/reproduced by a southern pottery, (Branksome maybe?) but
are unmarked, so look out for the Jersey marked ones.

Yes that sounds right Zip, knew it began with a "B"!. So long since I have seen either.
model, the pottery name escaped me.
Don't suppose you can do a pic, to compare and contrast?
