Stoneware vase interesting glaze with mark - possibly GM
This chunky boule shaped piece is 3.75" high x 6" diameter. The inside is gorgeous with a crystalline glaze and the outside is almost matt with a glossy rim. The mark is hard to see - looks as though it could be a G partly overlaid with an M. I have tried taking an etching of it.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Missed a bit - the glaze reminds me of Fulper and Ruskin glazes.

I can't find an example of his mark, but could it be by Werner Gnegel?

I can see why you thought of him as the shapes he makes are very similar - I can't believe how much you know! I think this is just revenge for the Atkinson-Jones lustre pieces as I now want a piece by Gnegel lol.
I have emailed him to ask if we could have a picture of his mark for the forum, but have not had any reply yet. I'll start a topic asking if anyone has a marked piece if they could post the mark for all of us. Tried searching the forum for "Gnegel" in any post on any forum but it comes back with no topics found - even though it is mentioned in this one.
