German dish - probably Scheurich 03710German dish - probably Scheurich 04010

The dish is 32 x 23 cm. White clay. That's all the information I have.
Where is this 334/32 coming from?

Thx!

Thank you big ed, but that's something I expected everybody already would understand. What I'm interested in is which German pottery was doing this shape 334.

Found a Ruscha jug with form number 334 Shrugs

Also Fohr with same number , so you can't always rely on just a number.

I'm not sure, but Scheurich made plates and bowls in their 300-series. The glaze and the form number really looks like Scheurich and they often had pieces just with the number, without the additional word "Germany" or "Foreign". And the simple decor is also very common on Scheurich pieces which often were pure mass production, some of them with just a few stripes, what in some cases can not really be called a "decor". I would say it was made between 1958 - 1962.

Okay, now I know for sure: it's Scheurich. I found it in a warehouse catalogue from 1960 by a company that was distributing Scheurich back then. Your plate has been pictured there: form 334 (same shape), 32 cm.

"Papier ist geduldig" as we say in Germany. "Again no proof", Ralf,
I do not like your "unwillingness to share" the 401++ catalogs
you inherited from your father ... You have been warned.

Oh yes it's true. Sorry for that. No proof. To be honest, I got this catalog in the cellar together with 400+ other ones. But I know a guy who also got 400+. Does it mean we have 800+ together?

It's great to see my plate in this catalogue of Scheurig. As if it really starts to exists from now on. Or something like it. :-)

Thank you Ralf, for all the information and for sharing.

You're welcome!

I really know what you mean with "start to exist". I've already had this feeling a few times when I found pics or catalogues to an item from my collection. The piece has got a "name" from then on and you see it from a different point of view. That's fun!
