Farris

bought today really nice set of mugs/cups on a circular tray,very modern or brand new I would say.The tray is about 10"across with a central column/tube the cups are a bulbous shape and they are made of a red clay and glazed with a light creamy green colour with the red showing through.Under each handle is an impressed mark which I am sure says Farris, this mark is also on the tray.The glaze is very smooth making them very tactile.searched internet can't find a thing.Help

Farris could be the pottery or the pattern. As it's not coming up on a google search I suspect it's the pattern.
You say they are brand new, so where did you buy them? If it was a supermarket, chain store or garden centre, they they were probably imported from the far east, rather than being a studio pottery.

I bought them in a local charity shop and also had no luck on google. I also suspect it comes from abroad.Any idea what the tube in the middle is for,I have been using it as a carry handle which may not be a good thing.I will try a search for Farris pattern.Thank-You

maybe hot chocolate?The hole in the tube goes all the way through so maybe it sits over something.
