is this by ALAN WALLWORK by any chance? am not sure just guessing and keeping my point of view open... i have gone throw this bowl over and over again and cannot seen to find any makers mark to it. is strange :(

Looks Ethnographic. The decoration is typical of Australian aboriginal art.
Valuable if it's older than 100 years. If 20th Century, then the value depends on whether or not it's signed.

i now know who made this bowl i contact sotheby's Australia and got a responds that it is by thancoupie... and told me is early thancoupie

yes i am indeed... having said that, i also wanted to throw the bowl away.... then i spoke to my restorer and he asses it for couple of weeks and he said it can be done perfectly as the damage did not go throw the design, so am a bit delighted, so just have to wait and see how it comes out :)

i won't he is very good... you can try him with any stoneware with chips or broken item, you will be amazed with is work.. brim-cardle gave me his contact information.. so i fought i'd try him but after trying this restorer i have never looked back not withstanding is at brendwood am always there now and again... he was a potter before so guess that's why he is very good also got a lot of client he works for
