Vase by Devon, Torquay

Any thoughts please on this 8 inch, unmarked vase please. My first thought is one of the many Potteries around Torquay, Devon. The yellow body is in reality a deeper colour than it appears in photo. Thanks John

Yes, with that base that's my first thought too. But which one, I couldn't say as it's not their usual decoration. Maybe Brannam before it went over to matt glazes.

I have seen this shape on several Watcombe pieces but they have all been marked

Royal Torquay Pottery also did fruit, although the base was usually unglazed and stamped with the pottery name.

Have been in touch with torquaypottery.co.uk and believe this now to be from Torquay Pottery
