Fantoni-style vase, lady with dog. Galvano (Italy)
Tall (34 cm), but rather thin walled vase, dark green glossy glaze, one side with an elegant lady walking a dog :-)
There is a fine painted pattern in the white background, almost impossible to see...
Looks fine quality to me (both the painted decoration and the blank).
Unfortunately I can't decipher the mark at the base...
Any help highly appreciated as usual.
Thanks,
Michael

The mark is Galvano Ceramiche, 1950s.

Thanks a lot Alex! Now I can almost decipher the word "Galvano".
Searching the internet turns up virtually nothing; do you have any more information on this company?
And thanks Brin for the kind words, it is a lovely vase :-)

According to Mark Hill in 'Alla Moda', there isn't any info about them except that they were based in the Sesto area of Florence.

I think the bottom line of the mark says Sesto Firenze, by the way.
