Richard Godfrey - Page 2 Empty Small Jug Sunbeam Mark - Richard Godfrey

Hello - I found this small jug with a John Leach pamphlet inside, but the mark is a sunbeam. From the marks book, it looks like Richard Godfrey. Do you think that's a correct id? I'm unsure, as it looks quite different to his usual style. Thank you :)

This certainly looks like Richard Godfrey's mark. I think the jug must be by him as well because of the similarities in clay and glaze, but the stamp on the handle is just for decoration

Wouldn't you say that mark was a scallop shell? Either in its own right or representing some pilgrim connotation?
