Can't find anything on P. Wright so looked up Peterloo Gallery, which was into performance art and modern art in the 70-80s. Might be worth contacting the Manchester Art Gallery and asking if they have any records of this artist.

The only P. Wright listed in "Artists in Britain since 1945", which is the definitive work on the subject, is Peter Wright the potter and ceramic sculptor. Therefore I suspect that your man wasn't widely known or exhibited.
