Hello! A Pot I really enjoy but can't I read signature.
Hello all! Thanks for reading. I have this clay pot, sponge flower scheme. May just be folk art type of thing but it does have a signature and number on it. I have posted a couple of pictures. If you know who "Amy" Which I believe is the artists name, please lmk!
Thanks in advance!

Hmmm, so Italy. Time period? Random artist?

Re: Hello! A Pot I really enjoy but can't I read signature.
can't help you any more than that i'm afraid - as i'm not that familiar with Italian pottery - but the mark underneath is fairly classic script for 20thc italian pottery. The numbers will no doubt give more info, but i don't have any reference books like Mark Hill's 'alla moda' which may have something like it.

Thank you so much! Any chance you can tell what the first letter is after the number? I know the second letter looks to be a B. But I'm unsure if the first one is a T or an F. Maybe something else even lol Thanks again! I really appreciate your help. I will def look up Mark Hills!

looks to me like 54/7 B which may indicate 1954, made in July. but that's only a 'may' indicate.

The B on the end of the numbers probably stands for Bitossi. So it could date from the Aldo Londi period, c. 1950s-60s

The decoration and grog-filled clay also points to it being Bitossi

An unusual piece - most Bitossi are the Rimini Blu type. Well done.

:) Thanks! Bought it at a Goodwill for 2$ lol I usually am in there to look for antique books, but have been looking for pottery recently as well! My lovely lady and I venture out to find interesting things all sorts of locations! I really appreciate the help!

Looks like you are 100% correct, seems it was Bitossi made for Rosenthal Netter for import. Although I can't find a picture of the bowl, I found a pitcher and a ceramic bird that matched the sponge flower pattern by Bitossi. Thank you for helping us narrow it down! We again really appreciate it!
