Strangely enough it survived the trip with the post. 9 Other vases died. And when I say 'died', I mean 'in pieces'.
The 2 big vases that were sent don't have any scratches though.
But where this one come from?
It's very hard to read the marks at the bottom. It might say '2254/30', but it might as well be something else. Only the '2'-s and the '0' I'm sure about. The height is not 30 cm, but roundabout 41 cm.
What I'm also sure about is that somebody bought this for 89 German Marks. That's a long time ago, but I leave that price tag on it. For sentimental reasons.

I think we should have an ugly pots thread in the lava lounge.

I found some jugs that look like this one on ebay. It might be Knödgen, I think now...

Hmpff... Oh, I hate it when I'm suddenly aware of the fact that I made a mistake while writing in English (or another foreign language). Resident... Pfff... :-(
Anyway, I'm starting to think that this jug might be coming from Knödgen. I found 2 similar ones at the German ebay site. One had a decor that looked like it, the other one a different decor, but the shape was close to the one I showed in this thread.
