Here's a finely potted porcelain lidded bowl, I've never seen anything quite like it and I don;t have a clue how the decoration is done.

The decoration has a very metallic look to it and a semi-lustre finish in places.

It appears to be signed "King 77" but I'm not sure about this.

Any information about how the decoration is done or the potter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

Would also be interested if anyone has seen decoration like this before and if so, what they would call it please?

Here's a closer picture of the decoration:

Looks like the sort of decoration you do on sand castles as a kid when you've got a handful of wet sand and are dripping it onto the top of the mound. Maybe te clay's been piped and then smoothed in places with a small pallet knife before the copper lustre glaze is applied over the layers.

Could be, I've just had another look and the layers seem to be far to fine and detailed to have been done with a pallet knife (to my eyes anyway). The grey parts could well be piped.

The lid is 97mm wide, so it's probably a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures.
