Slipware pin dish with dog, European?
Love this, even if it's the dogs bollocks.
Appears to have some age to it as the surface is crazed and flaking off in places, but it may only be tourist tat.
I suspect it's British as it was with a collection of small pieces of English studio pottery that came in together at in the local charity shop.
Is there a British slipware studio potter who makes these sorts of humorous slipware pieces? The honey coloured glaze reminds me of Ewenny Pottery. The dog and the rest of the decoration is in a deep green slip.
Unmarked.

Reminds me of puigdemont.

Yes, there are similarities, but it doesn't have the deeper foot with a hole for hanging it on the wall. And there are four spur marks on the back of this one, which the Puigdemont ones don't seen to have.
Might be French, though.

What can I say...
Re: Slipware pin dish with dog, European?
The only ones I have seen are larger, I don't think that if they made pin dishes, that they would put a hole for hanging.
While I also doubt it is Puigdemont, I would not be surprised if it was from a similar area, I just can't see it being British, but maybe someone will know otherwise.
