Dutch Gouda Pottery - Help ID'ing please
Hello,
I have a set up Dutch Gouda Blue pottery which I need help identifying. I have attempted it myself using online
resources but have hit a blank. I inherited these pieces from my grandmother who lived in southern holland, so I believe
they are genuine. The collection is comprised of 2 vases and a type of jug. They all have similar markings as seen in the
photographs. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Tin-glazed Delftware in the Chinese style. Possibly 18th or 19th Century.
It would be best to take them to a specialist appraiser at one of the good auction houses.

Thank you for the quick reply. I didn't have a clue it would be so old. None of the online makers mark sites were helping me.

If it was 20th Century I'd expect to see a lot more marks on the base.

One of my friends' fathers used to be an antique dealer, he has recommended someone who might be able to shed some more light on them.
What you said about the manufacturers marks makes sense I guess, as there would be less manufacturers around at the time. It's a shame there isn't a more comprehensive database of these things on the internet, but luckily there's always a forum! :)

While I know very little about delft pottery, I'm going to "stick my head on the line" and say I think they may be from the first half of the 20th century. I say this because of the way the base is molded.
They look nice though and I hope I'm wrong.

You may be right Potty. My gut feeling is the second half of the 19th Century because of the use of impressed numbers/characters.
