Asian Vase Blue - Marked
Hello! I wanted to thank everyone again for all of their help. My grandmother recently passed and am sorting through her stuff to help my parents. I really appreciate all of the feedback!
Anything you can do to help me would be great!
Thanks again!

Re: Asian Vase Blue - Marked
I'm not so sure it's Asian, the other way around it looks like 3 H's and seems a mark I recognise from somewhere.

Re: Asian Vase Blue - Marked
i would say almost definitely this is American art pottery - possibly from Massachusetts or New Hampshire. Can't find the mark anywhere, but try this website for help:

Blue Vase, (previously told NH/MA 18th-19th century) Marked HHH
Hello,
I previously posted this piece and had a few replies. One of said replies was "that they had seen the marking before but couldn't remember what or who it was".
I wanted to post this up again, to see if maybe I could have a little better luck this time!
If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated!
Regards

Re: Asian Vase Blue - Marked
I'm sure we've had one of these before which I mistakenly id-ed as Hungarian pottery (which has a similar H mark, but with M A above and below, rather than H H here). Someone id-ed it as an English pottery, but I haven't been able to find the thread again.

Thanks Naomi! Do you know the age on something like this. Is 19th century correct?

Re: Asian Vase Blue - Marked
To me the style suggests Art Nouveau, so late 19th - early 20th Century, unless anyone thinks it's Art Deco.

still can't help you pin it down i'm afraid, but i think it's interesting how just upping the colour contract on your pics changes the look of it. The first time you posted, i felt sure it was American, but with the heightened colours it looks more European. confused.
Re: Asian Vase Blue - Marked
Has almost a Ruskin look to it, if you squint.

Hmmmm I bought it in MA. I've been looking through all of the marking sights but just can't seem to find it. It's a pretty little vase. Well done. Just one heck of a pain in the butt to identify haha Thanks everyone for your help!
