Just bought this modern pottery clock with 5 abstract carved puggy female nudes - and a male nude carved above is the clock. Nice glazes and colors - and very detailed. Size ( 13 3/4" inches H x 11 1/4" inches W ) and dating appox. ( 60s or later). I just love it - so cool and different. I need everyones help to try to ID the artist. I tried everything - every combination of the letters that I could come up with - has anyone seen anthing like this? Iam sure someone has. It is Signed on the lower left side. The signature looks like De Witt to me and there is a potter called DeWitt Smith who has worked in Georgia since 1983. Not like his current work but it does seem to vary so perhaps worth an email to him with an image.

His website can be found by searching for DeWitt Pottery.

It's Raku pottery, so using that term may help you find the potter.
