Spade shaped cut glass dish no markings
Does anybody know what this pattern is called or who makes it? There are no markings

Re: Spade shaped cut glass dish no markings
The teeth shaped edge is reminiscent of Anglo Irish glass, so I'm wondering if it's Waterford crystal.

The busy design is very Czech in style, the kind of thing oft' seen with Bohemia Crystal labels.

If it is quite small it is possible that this is one of a set of four - spade, diamond, club and heart. The sort of thing that may have been popular with bridge players.

Looks more like a tree.
May be a spoon rest - for a dirty serving spoon to rest on.

Thanks for your input guys!
After some searching I'm thinking it might actually be a cigar ashtray. As far as the pattern, it's definitely not waterford. I've been on replacements ltd for a few days searching for the pattern with no luck. It is a very busy pattern :-X

It might be American/Canadian. Came across a similarly 'busy' cut glass bowl on Ruby Lane, that's listed as: Roden Bros Canadian Brilliant Cut Glass Fruit Bowl Antique Victorian Crystal Signed

Also one listed as "American Brilliant Cut Glass Celery Tray Cane Hobstar High Quality Crystal."
And "ABP Maple City Seward 6" Nappy, Cut Glass Bowl"

This is a fruit bowl I had, probably by the Podebrady works, and under the Bohemia Crystal brand... you'll find similarities in the cut design.
Re: Spade shaped cut glass dish no markings
I think it's more likely to be American, partly because it's in New Jersey (local market) and because the ABP Maple City Seward 6" Nappy, Cut Glass Bowl has the same hobnail, pin-wheel, etc, and crenellations along the edge as skypoop's one.

Cut glass really isn't my field, so I can't say one way or the other... and I get what you're saying about the eBay listing's similarities.
It's worth remembering, though, that Czech glass got exported everywhere in vast quantities.
