I was told this was Austrian Fat Lava ??
Your advice much appreciated...age,pottery etc..its about 10 inches high

I'd call it drip glaze. Doesn't seem thick enough for fat lava. There are several makers like Fosters and some French factories that use this particular type - I've seen it on 70s lamp bases before.

Thanks Naomi...it is a bit "Fosters like"- but arent they normally marked. I have a bigger one which is numbered 300

They would normally have a black backstamp, but sometimes the ink was so faint you wouldn't see it. Not sure they used impressed pattern numbers, though.

Apparently it's a 'Honeycomb' glaze pattern.
