Any ideas on who would of made this paperweight. It could possibly be english. The style of the mustache is the only thing I have to go on. . It maybe just a decorative ornament but currently limited on availability of information. I am grateful for any help. Thanx

Re: French Porcelain Paperweight?
I hope they do as I have no idea and my search has revealed nothing over the last few days.

Re: French Porcelain Paperweight?
As Big Ed suggests, remove the material on the base. That would be the first thing I'd do, if it was mine.

I suspect it's German porcelain from the 1920s. They produced a number of risqué pieces with partly clothed bathing beauties, but I haven't seen one featuring a man before.
If you google "Full Figure Half Doll Bathing Beauty Porcelain Germany" on the Ruby Lane website, you'll see an example - Note the similar, blushing, cheeks.

Re: French Porcelain Paperweight?
Looked at the Ruby Lane Site. Still going through it now. I do see what you mean about the similarity. Never thought it to be possibly German Bisque. Here are some additional pictures as per your request. There is a solid piece that is round and quite thick within the structure. There is slight movement if the paperweight is shaken briskly, ooops! nearly dropped it. When I scrape my nail onto the solid surface that is clearly visible, a chalk like deposit is left. I hope this all makes sense!

While it may well be German, it cant be Bisque as Bisque effectively means unglazed.

I'm enclined to agree. Bisque are ususally porous and unglazed. German make does seem likely. I am currently still searching as per you information.
