Re: Kenneth Clark & Ann Wynn Reeves
I know I posted this in an iD thread years ago, but I thought it'd be good if it showed up here too. as it's closely related to one of the "Tree of Life" tiles: See https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/575123814893935874/

Pottery tray - Kenneth Clark
My first thought was Celtic medallion but now not so sure.
The diamonds down the middle are a bit greener than in the photo.

Thanks - Alex
This is Kenneth Clark! 100%

Kenneth Clark
Found this yesterday having no idea who Kenneth Clark was as a potter but thinking politics, as you do. It is a turned wooden canister with ceramic lid, signed as you can see KC 58 and has a paper label to the base reading Designed Made by Kenneth Clarke. Tenner well spent me thinks...

Wonder if it might be Denby. The clay and the "Made in england" stamp looks right.
He joined in 1956, but the book is rather vague on exactly how long he worked there.

from Micknix
Micknix asked me to put this up Ken Clark Ann Wynn Reeves the sale at their house in Ringmer just outside of Lewes. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the house just after a local Auction house had been in and removed anything and everything they new to be of value for an upcoming sale.
I was invited to look at a collection of old 78 records which had belonged to Ann's father who turned out to be a successful orchestral conductor however the records were not for me.
The lady by the name of Angela who was Ann's niece asked me if I may be interested in any of the surplus which the Auction house had declined to take and I said I would like to take a look so she took me around the house. We then went into the living room and I was immediately drawn to a piece of pottery sitting on the mantle piece. It was a form in the shape of a house and it is absolutely stunning and is without a shadow of a doubt by Ann wynn Reeves. It is an incense burner.

SALEROOM Link to the MALLAMS AUCTION @ OXFORD MAY 22, 2013
Where they sold off many of Kenneth's estate items from his own collection
You may need to be logged in to the saleroom, still invaluable if you are collecting or looking into his work.

Chichester Festival Theatre dish - Kenneth Clark
A dish which was presumably produced to commemorate the opening of the theatre in 1962. Unfortunately unmarked though the way it's produced would suggest a commercial rather than studio pottery. Not sure whether the decoration is moulded or incised - I'm guessing the former. The way the blue bleeds into the glaze reminds me of David Sharp at Rye. Any suggestions, please?
