Large glittery glaze ram jug, J mark, ID help
Does anyone know who this could possibly be by, I have only found 1 reference to it which states it is a redware jug & is early 20th century but doesn't give any more info than that, I am am dubious as to whether it is redware as the glaze as it has a glittery finish to it. Its lacking its stopper as the one I found had a circular shape stopper. There is an impressed J to the belly, any help identifying would be appreciated

Somehow reminds me of Portuguese ceramics?

If you google "OLD RARE GLAZED REDWARE POTTERY JUG PITCHER RAM" in google images you'll see another one, which has a stopper in the hole on the back.
It might be of Mediterranean origin (the ram looks a bit Greek to me) used for oil or other condiment.

That will be the one reference I found, shame it doesn't give more info.
