Hi!

This is a fairly small vase (about 8.5" tall) and it's quite light. I am assuming it's made of porcelain. The shape looks like a flower bulb and it has three small feet with ribs originating from them and going up towards the top of the vase.

The glaze is unlike anything I've seen before. I don't even know how to explain it. It has off-white parts (the ribs, mostly) that are very smooth and glossy to touch. Other parts are more a mix of cream and gold, matte and they feel different. There are small crystalline insets and thin layers of glaze of different colors (blue / purplish / sage) - these all have a somewhat different texture. And the whole thing has a slightly iridescent look to it - the cream / gold parts have a bit of blue shine if you look from a particular angle.

It's signed but I can't read the signature. Please note that some of the photos are extreme macros to show the texture of the glaze; it's actually a lot more fine than it appears on some photos. It's closer to baby skin than to orange peel :)

Any help is much appreciated! It's really quite a beauty!

Any ideas as to the age or the origin? The more I look at it the more I think it must be pretty recent since even the bottom doesn't have any scuff marks. Or maybe it's made of a very hard clay :)

I'd say within the last 30 years at least, but probably sooner.

Looks to have a slightly Crystalline glaze and I would have called it Studio Pottery rather than Art Nouveau. Though the style is somewhat reminiscent of Art Nouveau pottery.
