Fat Lava Vase? Empty Fat Lava Vase?

Post by MirnaMinkoff Fri Jan 18, 2013 1:07 am

This should ID should be a piece of cake for the posters here. I think I've ID'ed it but can't tell if that mark would be considered a "shield" - I've got a listing of markings from German pottery companies of the 60's but unfortunately many don't have photos just text descriptions of the markings/symbols so I can't be sure.

Here is the vase, it's 15.5 cm:

Here is the Mark on the bottom:

I have a feeling, unlike my other posts, this will probably be ID'ed asap.

While I'm at it I'll go ahead and post a German vase I've had for years, but never got a firm ID on. It's about 7 inches tall. It is marked "W Germany" in red on the bottom, along with some impressed numbers that are unreadable. Any one know this one?

Thanks!

Ah, thank you styleinvasion, that's exactly it. All kinds of information out there now that I have the correct name.

By chance any idea about the second vase?

Again, thanks very much.

Oh okay, sorry. I didn't want to clog up the forum with any more new thread ID requests than needed but if that's the SOP for the forums I will do so.
