Not Japanese. I'd say they'd be US or European, possibly British. Probably a potter with the initials LJ

- and the mark is different from your one at the top. The mark on your pot doesn't make 'JF' for Judith Fisher.

Sunny, personally, I think it's best not to post photos of pots when you're not positive it's by the same maker. Better to start a new thread for the identified pot and then post a link on the thread of the unidentified pot, to avoid confusion.
