Mass produced, or noteworthy?
Been given this to sell for charity. Can't decide whether I love or loath it! My gut feeling is that it's a modern import, but I'd like to be sure.
No marks anywhere.
Thanks guys,
Alan.

Re: Mass produced, or noteworthy?
Looks like it may have been thrown, I think it seems quite a good piece.
I think it's continental, the vase itself looks a bit Scandinavian, but the base reminds me of Italian pots. I'd personally *guess* at it being made in Italy.

Thanks guys, yes I did wonder about that, although there's no sign of wear or metal traces.

Re: Mass produced, or noteworthy?
Some Japanese studio potters and the likes of Janet Leach have made pots with "lugs" so I don't think that it should have a lid.
I suspect someone will be able to put a name to it and then we'll all know if it's mass produced or master potter!
P.S. the former is my guess.

My first thought was Italian. If not, then possibly West German.

I have seen West German tableware with the same colours and a 70's design
