So called 'poterie Flamande' Flemish earthenware. This was made in several potteries Bruges, Courtrai, Torhout...
Have a look here (Dutch):

Re: Help with id please
Great stuff, thanks for info,
Looked at the links and some interesting items,
I did wonder if the three round marks on the base might give some idea also the tree form, also you can see from the broken glaze on the base the pottery seems a cream color, at first i thought it was an experimental piece with a macintosh look but sometimes the imagination can run wild, it seems to have some age to me around c1900 would you say, would be great to pin it to the correct pottery,

Re: Help with id please
Found a vase with a simular decoration in the book 'Laigneil decoratief' of the art pottery in Courtrai and yes probably around 1920.
The three rounds are no marks.

Re: Help with id please
Thanks Red
That was a good find, thanks for your effort & time, i would have to say this is what i have, the marks i mention are for holding it up in the kiln and sometimes i thought they might help to id the piece, anyway i look forward now to reading more on the vase now we know what it is, my first bootsale bargain this year for your interest i purchased 3 vases for a whopping £7 the other 2 where Frank Butler (Doulton) vases the owner had no interest or even a clue, once again thanks to all for your help really appreciated.
