ID help with this strange shaped pot
Does anyone have any ideas about this pot? Have a feeling it may be by a proficient amateur??

Re: ID help with this strange shaped pot
The mark does suggest that you are correct but it looks very well made from your images and doesn't seem to be borrowing/copying from any pots that I'm familiar with.
Very interesting, individual and something worth keeping in my book.

Thanks.
I liked it when I picked it up for 99p in a charity shop - they obviously didn't value it much putting that price on it and the volunteer gave me a very strange look when I said I liked it!!

Then that's the type of Charity Shop you need to keep an eye on.

Hi cp
What do you mean by 'type' - this particular design or do they just resemble it ie glaze/pattern/mark??
Do you think they are purely amateur pieces?

Re: ID help with this strange shaped pot
pretty much overall and many that seem to be in two pieces making it into a lidded pot
