Coopercraft Porcelain Ram?
Identification needed on this ram please. I've had this for over two weeks now and not had much luck in finding a good lead. Coopercrafts is the only one that bares similarities. Does anyone know what the marking S and orange dot is? Your help is appreciated.

Re: Coopercraft Porcelain Ram?
Coopercraft looks right to me. The S might be the pattern letter - eg, S for sheep - and the orange dot might be the decorator's mark.

Deffo coopercraft on ebay no.281037339045
I don't think that's an S on the base just part of the making imo.

Re: Coopercraft Porcelain Ram?
Thanx all. Had a look at the one on Ebay and just a bit concerned when comparing them. I am not sure how these would of been made, but assume that it would of been at some point in a cast. The ears and horns and paintwork look different though. This is not at all to say that it is'nt Coopercraft. I just want to highlight this, as there are so many copies of pottery pieces and it is important that we are able to identify items correctly, especially when in my case, selling. Wants again, thanx for all your help.

Moulded and hand-painted.
For the money these things usually cost, I think they are very nice.

I think you can be pretty confident of the attribution, but collectors will probably prefer pieces that still have the label on them.
Copies have been made of collectables like Whitefriars, Carltonware and Troika that sell for hundreds of pounds, but it's unlikely anyone would bother copying something selling for just a pounds.

Cheers Potty, I entirely agree with you. With ref. to the initial attributions to this post. The comments and I.D have been noted. Many thanx to you all.
