Lovely round shino-glazed vase by Joyce Davison.
Stamped on base JD Castle Acre.
6" high.

I was told by the previous owner that the white glaze decoration is supposed to be a Chinese character, not a dead seagull.   Happy

Great shape, beautiful honey lustre. Couldn't be better imo. And, reading her CPA bio, it appears she didn't start potting seriously until late in life. She's now in her 70s.

Note: Her son says she and her husband were very keen on MG cars and she would make pin dishes etc with MG letters applied to the surface
